Killer Design Meets Market-Leading Technology – Aerial7 Headphones Re-launched

Lifestyle headphone brand Aerial7 has been re-launched in Australia, with Convoy International appointed as the new distributor for the brand.

Inspired by art, street culture, fashion and the active lifestyle, Aerial7 products strive to be at the forefront of merging fashion technology by matching unique materials, funky finishes and original wearing styles with impressive acoustics.

Co-founder Phil Johnson says, “We are designers first and foremost and we hope this comes through in the products we create.”

“It’s the fashion sensibility infused into the technical product and our attention to finer details which makes us unique.”

Collaborative projects and strategic affiliations are an important part of the Aerial7 vision. To elevate the brand and keep things fresh, Aerial7 has built a stable of identities from the worlds of action sports, music, art and design who are involved with the brand in promotional and design capacities.

Aerial7 brand ambassadors include Australian surfers Ozzie Wright, Luke Stedman, Craig Anderson and Karlee Mackie; Jay Z’s DJ Neil Armstrong; DJ Jam, who tours with Snoop Dogg; snowboarder Mads Jonsson; graffiti artist CEET; and a host of talented identities from the worlds of action sports, music and street art.

Amongst the products in the Aerial7 range is the flagship TANK headphone (RRP $159), an over-ear headphone designed for maximum style and DJ sound quality. Featuring plush swivel earcups, 57mm drivers for full spectrum sound and an additional cable with a microphone for use with iPhone, Blackberry and other devices, TANK promises to be a hit with DJs and music fans alike. Like all models in the Aerial7 range, TANK is available in a range of different colourways, from the bright and funky ‘Mondrian’ to the more subtle, completely black ‘Midnight’.

The range also features the Chopper2 headphone, inspired by retro headphone design and modern sneaker aesthetics; a selection of compact on-ear headphones such as the Matador, Metro and Phoenix; the innovative Sound Disk Sports Beanie range, which integrates super slim speakers into beanies for great sound on the go; and four brightly coloured and easy to wear in-ear models.

The Aerial7 range will be available in Australia from December 2011 at selected action sports retailers, with prices starting at AUD$29.95 for entry level in-ear models through to AUD$159 for the premium TANK headphone.
