AVR 255 - "Great looks, rich fulsome sound"

Harman Kardon's AVR 255 Audio-Visual Receiver was given 4 out of 5 stars in a recent review published in Smarthouse magazine, which left the reviewer musing whether the AVR 255 was "the best $1,199 AV Receiver you can buy".

The reviewer praised the AVR 255 for its comprehensive features, particularly for its price bracket - "The features list is right on the money, with Faroudja DCDi Cinema video processing, full Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio compatibility and full-spec v1.3a HDMI s."

Clearly impressed with Harman Kardon's sleek design, the reviewer made particular reference to the model's "great looks" and "suave and sophisticated-looking case".

But perhaps most importantly, having tested the AVR 255 with various media and in a tech-lab, the reviewer drew the conclusion that the performance of the AVR 255 was above expectations, producing a "rich fulsome sound".
